Valentine's Day Evening Show at the Planetarium
Take the chance to snuggle up in the Planetarium's double seats and discover one of space's most fascinating phenomena with someone dear to you. We'll treat you to non-alcoholic sparkling drinks and light snacks.
We open the doors at 7:30 PM. Mingle in the Experiment Hall, explore some of our interactive stations, and enjoy a glass of non-alcoholic sparkling drinks with light snacks. Then, take your seat in our Planetarium for the show Supermassive Black Holes, starting at 8:00 PM and lasting 45 minutes.
Black holes are completely invisible to our telescopes and incredibly massive. They have such strong gravity that no light—whether visible, infrared, ultraviolet, or X-rays—escapes from them. This is why astronomers must use clever methods to detect black holes.
Only the very largest stars end their lives as black holes. These stars explode as spectacular supernovas when their fuel runs out, leaving behind a black hole. However, no star is large enough to form the supermassive black holes astronomers have discovered at the centers of many galaxies. These supermassive black holes must have formed in a different way.
Price: 150 SEK per person
We also offer this event in Swedish at 6.30 PM. You find all the details here.
Tickets are only sold online - on beforehand. Buy them in our web-shop.
Book your tickets no later than 11:00 AM on February 14th. The shows are primarily intended for adults in pairs or adults accompanied by older children. Please note that no food or drinks may be brought into the Planetarium, this is an alcohol-free event, and only the Planetarium will be open this evening.
