Pufendorf & Friends: The Quest for Digital Justice

Lund University offers plenty of interdisciplinary research. Pufendorf IAS' popular discussion forum, cleverly disguised as After Work, taps (pun intended) right into this: A couple of times per semester, we offer a space for informal meetings across all discipline- and faculty boundaries: by researchers for researchers.
Welcome to a conversation as we navigate the intersection of technology, human rights, and social justice. Together, let's pave the way for a more equitable and inclusive digital future.
On the 14 March, the theme for Pufendorf and Friends will be: The Quest for Digital Justice
In our rapidly evolving digital landscape, it is essential to confront the stark differences represented by digital inequalities from a world perspective, particularly foreseen to be accelerated by AI-systems. This isn't just about equalizing access to technology; it's about fundamental human rights and a society grounded in social justice. Recognizing the urgency of this matter, cultivating new critical ontologies and conceptual vocabularies that underpin justice in our digital societies is detrimental to our well-being.
Panelists:
Lena Halldenius, Professor of Human Rights Studies
Osama Mansour, Associate Professor of Information Systems
Sue Anne Teo, Researcher at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law
Here at Pufendorf IAS, with friends, you are reminded of the beauty of interdisciplinary research. Bring a colleague and join us: all are welcome, no pre-registration is necessary. Naturally, we will provide snacks and something to drink.
